How long have you been in business?
In private practice since 2008, in the field of counseling on and off since the 1980s... I am very experienced.
What is your primary product or service?
The professional service of Psychotherapy is my primary product. Related is the definition- Counselor or Life-Coach, which are similar designations, but different ways to consider the same skill set. Next are my services in Hypnotherapy; whereby we determine your goals and in a number of sessions, via positive, professional hypnosis and self-hypnosis, we help you to set forth those goals to pass. My next popular 'product' is group counselor - as many desire and need to utilize wellness in a group format. Also, my skills in Reiki, an alternative healing format, is useful in helping with issues of mental and physical distress. Many, but not all, of these services are covered by insurance, and not all insurances work with me; however I take cash, check, and credit cards.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been educated undergraduate in English literature, which requires character analysis, this led to Psychology. I have always be interested in addictions and trauma studies, out of personal experiences. I am a perpetual student in school and in life. I love to read, learn, and listen to people.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have a very warm approach along with a clinical professionalism. Many physicians ask me to assist with patients with whom they are puzzled in communications or whom are suffering in spite of treatments. My colleagues often refer clients to me because I have studied Therapeutic Hypnotherapy and I help people with Insomnia and Anxiety, and those are very stubborn issues. I enjoy group work and even host a group for my colleagues. I like to say that I have client who leave because they 'get well.' For me, this is a good thing.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one location, but sometimes I hold groups, conferences, or workshops at other locations. This will be announced.

547 Park Place is in downtown Bethlehem, near the YMCA and Wood Street Post Office, off of Broad Street, in a residential area. Not far from The Bayou restaurant. I see one person at a time in my home office.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, check, credit cards, EAP, health insurance. I have a billing service who assists me with insurance payments and who bills clients with additional bills beyond their copays.
Which areas do you service?
The entire Lehigh Valley, PA: Northampton, Lehigh, counties and surrounding areas... even into New Jersey. Many people are willing to come a distance for quality mental health care.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Gail-Elaine Tinker M.S. is the sole proprietor for daily ops, although it is common for psychotherapist to run programs and groups with other colleagues in order to bring the BEST to the group experience, this would be on occasion and stated.

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
They got what they needed to be able to help themselves via my assistance. They felt empowered, gained resources, and were independently able to handle their life situation.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
My favorite quote is by French Philospher, Blaise Pascal: "The heart has a reason, which reason cannot know." I have come to know that with people, sometimes logic cannot be applied no matter how much one would want to; it is what people feel in their hearts which matters; this is the most important thing.
